Kate and Sam (Lisa and Matt's childern)

I had the best time with Kate when I went to Mom's a couple weeks ago. She just loved playing the Elmo game on the computer. She's a little princess!

Sam was born the day after my surgery. I'll never forget his birthday as long as I live. When I was in intensive care I had a dream that Lisa gave birth to a little baby girl.... Well...she had a huge baby Boy!!! So much for dreams! He sure is a cutie. I can remember holding Beth and Lisa on my lap just like this! Thanks for the pictures Janice!

Heart Rehab

As most of you know, I had a quadruple bypass in December. The first few months have really been trying. It's hard enough to heal the "normal" way after this surgery but I can say I've probably had more stress in the past 3 months than I've had my whole 55 years! Needless to say I'm getting stronger every day. I attended my first "Mended Hearts" meeting last month. It was a hoot. I'm the youngest one in the club (that I saw anyway) and the other people range up to mid 90's in years.

I go to heart rehab 3 times a week. At first I was kind of skeptical and didn't want to go. I thought I could do it myself at home like I did after I had my 2 stents in February of '07. Evidently I didn't do a very good job on my own so I decided I'd like to be around to see Abram and Reese graduate.... I'll go to rehab!

Well, today it was all worth it. I was on the treadmill and this older gentleman got up on the treadmill beside mine. He looked great ! I looked over and his numbers were set higher than mine... I thought dang! I said "how old are you?" He looked at me and said, "I just turned 97 years old." I thought DANG!!! He had a quadruple bypass 15 years ago and he looked great. He said he had been coming to rehab 3 times a week for 15 years. I told him I hope I'll be telling someone the same story when I'm 97 LOL..... Well, we'll see.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all.....

For those of us who know Kris Raisor really well....

Do you think this is what Kris looked like twenty some years ago??

Trip to see Beth, Kris and Abram

Well, I think I'm really pushing the envelope with all this driving I've been doing the past 2 weeks. I'm sore from the inside out! I guess I'll stay home for a couple weeks and try to heal up. Yesterday's trip was well worth it though. I got to spend some time with Beth, Abram and Kris. When I got there Beth was at the doctor for her check up. Kris and Abram met me at the door. I couldn't believe how much Abram has grown! Kris went on to work and Beth wanted me to go with them to their church for her quilting class. I went with her and watched Abram while she was busy with the quilt. This also gave me a chance to see the new addition to the church that Kris was working on.

After the class we stopped at Cracker Barrel to have lunch. Abram really likes his mac & cheese!! When we got back to the house I read some books to Abram and he took a nap. Beth was working on her quilt. The quilt is going to be really nice. She's doing a fantastic job on it. Here's a picture of her pinning the quilt...

When Abram woke from his nap I had to take this picture. He was so engrossed with Thomas the Train video. He had a tractor from Mike and Janice in one hand, a car I bought him at the Cracker Barrel in the other and his Superman cape on. He looked like a little boy who just went to Heaven with all his treasures ....

It was a great day at the Raisor house!!
